Look at me

As you can see in this photo, I even feel uncomfortable in a bathing suit top. Where is my favorite black Montauk sweatshirt and sunglasses? I do not even have a tan and the summer is almost over.
Shy girl....not a natural ham as one who visits my site and blog might think. I like ham though, but I don't eat it because I think pigs are adorable.

Reagan Rhodes is a bodybuilder who feels comfortable being totally nude. I am the complete opposite actually. I would hate being on a nude beach. Just the thought of it makes me nervous and nauseous.
See Reagan's gallery on shemuscle.
She also has giant boobs.
Urban Dictionary definition:
1. boobs
Things that guys like to play with.
Excuse me, can I touch your boobs?
2. boobs
A women's sex tool to make men do what she wants them to do.
I'll show you my boobs if you buy me the concert tickets I want.

1. What opportunities has bodybuilding opened up for you?
Although I have just recently started competing in bodybuilding, I have been an athlete my whole life, weight training for various sports. Bodybuilding has opened the doors of athletic opportunity for me in gaining a volleyball scholarship at the age of 17. I had started weight training since I was about 14 years old. I also won some Armwrestling championships in PA, and this is how I met the creator of the American Gladiators, Dann Carr back in 1987. He told me he wanted to see me become an American Gladiator. My big dream came true, ten years later, in 1997 when I was called to play as “Apache” on the live show in Orlando, Florida. I also did some wrestling, Muay Thai (kickboxing), sportclimbing, powerlifting, and obstacle course races--all of which I obtained degrees of proficiency in and set records. I have also had the opportunity to be featured on bodybuilding websites and magazines, and have become more recognizable in the fitness industry. My most recent feature is in Ironman Magazine—an 8-page layout. I was thrilled! This has always been one of my big dreams. Competing has definitely allowed me to pursue bodybuilding as a second career, with opportunities to interact with my fans and travel.
2. When you compete, do you always think you can win first place?
No matter what I compete in, I always do my best. My parents raised me with good values, to always put in a 100% effort, and be a good sport. So no matter where I place in a show, I consider myself a winner. I know on some days I may win, and other days I may just place. I know what it’s like to be on both sides as an athlete, and I think it’s just as graceful to take second place and congratulate the winner. I think being patient is very important, and to know when to capture opportunities.
3. Please tell us a little about the competitions in which you placed the highest

Lesbians Catfight

I started catfighting when I was only 11 years old. My best friend at the time, Christina, and I would go to her house after school and wrestle as hard as we could. Eventually, it would turn into a brawl of course. We would just go out it until her mom would come into the living room and scream at us to stop. She was afraid we would kill each other and we might have because it got very competitive. What a great workout it was though. This went on for a few years until Christina decided that she did not want to fight me anymore. She was very big for her age and strong, a great match for me. How disappointed I was. I just moved to brawling with the guys mostly from then on which was fun, but not in the same way.
This could be a catfight between Lynn McCrossin and Roxie Rain if you use your imagination. Check it out.
I can visualize the fight here.
I just love this old photo by the way.

Summer time and concerts

This is my beach car. I have always loved Corvettes.
It is hard not to speed in this beauty. I am, you can rest easy, always prudent when I drive.
I am on my way to see three bands tonight, Live, Collective Soul and The Blues Travelers.
Great music, great show at the Capital One Theater.
Live was amazing in this small 3,0 seat venue. Sort of like a personal concert, set on a slowly spinning stage which was driving the guys in each band just a little crazy.
Collective Soul and Live performers said that they had never been on a spinning stage before and suggested to the techs that they speed it up.They did for a while. It was pretty funny. Great sound system, albeit extremely loud. My ears are still ringing. Probably not good for my hearing. Oh well.

Birthdate: August 28, 1980
Birthplace: Longview, TX
Current Residence: Pasadena, CA
Height: 5’ 3-1/2”
Contest Weight: 135
Off-Season Weight: 160-170
Marital Status: Single
Education: I earned my B.S. in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University in 2002, graduating Suma Cum Laude and with University and Foundation Honors. I then went on to complete my M.S. in chemical engineering at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in the spring of 2005 and am currently working towards my Ph.D. in chemical engineering, also at Caltech.
Research interests: My thesis work is in the area of metabolic engineering in yeast with an emphasis on inducible promoter systems and other strategies for fine-tuning expression of recombinant enzymes/proteins. I am primarily working to produce benzylisoquinoline alkaloids in S. cerevisiae but have also constructed yeast strains which exhibit modified responses from the GAL promoter and am pursuing other RNA-based strategies for regulation by small molecules in vivo.
How I got started in bodybuilding: I always struggled with my weight growing up and found my way into the weight room at a young age while my mom did aerobics. At age 15, I got my own gym membership and went every day after school/work. The owners were hosting a competition and taught me the basics of training, nutrition, and posing, and I have competed every year since age 17.
Hooked: Muscle Women
Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 12:20 shemuscle featuring Colette Nelson
According
to the MSNBC website "“Hooked: Muscle women,” puts female bodybuilders
on the psychiatrist's couch (figuratively speaking) to get to the core
of why they push their bodies to the limit. Many of these women are
trying to overcome or overcompensate for something in their past, such
as abuse or eating disorders. And "control" means obsessing over what
they eat and manipulating furious exercise routines, sometimes on a
daily basis.
